What’s Included in V2?

  • Updated RPI rankings within each age group.
  • V1 and V2 ranks side by side, with indicators showing whether each team moved up, moved down or stayed in the same position.
  • Initial division breakdowns for review as the preseason continues.
  • Original partner ranking tables from Neil Lodin and Joe Walkush, with sortable columns.
  • Red/green comparison sheets showing completed head-to-head results within each age group.

How Is RPI Calculated?

Completed preseason game scores are combined and sent to Neil Lodin of My Hockey Rankings and Joe Walkush. Each partner returns separate ratings. Both ratings are scaled to 0–20 within each age group, and the CSHL RPI is their equal average. This method applies to all four age groups.

Initial Division Breakdowns

The division breakdowns shown in V2 are preliminary. They provide an initial look at potential competitive divisions. Final division placement will be determined from the V3 rankings at the end of the preseason.

What Comes Next?

RPI V3 is scheduled for October 25. That release will include final rankings with division placement.

Division petitions will be accepted from Heads of Programs only, after RPI V3 has been posted. Petitions will be reviewed together by the CSHL Board and the appropriate age representative.

The V1 rankings remain available in the archive for comparison.

Thank you to Neil, Joe, our program leaders, coaches, managers and volunteers for their work throughout the preseason.
